These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the AutoCheck.JP website and services, provided by Scrut Technology Sdn. Bhd. (1231565-V) of [Business address] ("we", "us"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Our services

  • Vehicle history reports for Japanese-market vehicles, generated from the chassis number you provide and compiled from third-party records such as auction, inspection, odometer and recall data, where available.

  • Market Price Check, which shows indicative prices based on past auction results.

  • Donations, which you can make voluntarily to support the service.

Orders and payment

  • The price of a report is shown, in the currency displayed, on the checkout page before you pay.

  • Payments are processed by CHIP. When you order, we place an authorisation hold on your card, and we only charge it once your report is ready. If no records are found, the hold is released. See our Refund Policy for details.

  • You must enter a valid chassis number and an email address you can access.

Delivery

When your report is ready, we email you a download link that stays valid for 30 days. You can also find your order on the Track Order page using your order number and email address. How long a report takes depends on our data partners, so we cannot guarantee a delivery time.

Accuracy and limitations

  • Reports reflect the third-party records available when the report is produced. These records may be incomplete or contain errors we cannot detect, and a missing record (for example, no recorded accident) does not guarantee that the event never happened.

  • A report is not a substitute for a physical inspection by a qualified mechanic.

  • Market Price Check figures are indicative only. They are not a valuation, an offer or a guaranteed price.

Acceptable use

  • Use reports for your own buying decisions or your own business. Do not resell or republish them without our written consent.

  • Do not use scripts, bots or other automated means to place orders, copy content from this website, or get around its security checks.

  • Do not submit false information or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The content, branding and design of this website and our reports belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy them except as these Terms allow.

Liability

  • To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on a report.

  • Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
